NOTE FROM THE
COACH: |
|
GREAAAAAAAT meet against Granada Hills/Western Oaks ORCAS! The final score
was 310-292 and it really did come down to the last few relay events. Orcas swam some
close -- and VERY EXCITING -- races! I am tremendously pleased at the improvements you've
made in technique these past couple of weeks. Good job, swimmers!
In future meets please check in with coach Sandy prior to leaving the meet. It is
important that you make sure that you have not been put on a relay!!! (Of course, to get
to say "goodbye" to you would be nice too.)
Once again, Orca parents, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your help. Those of you
that worked the meet and our "age-group parents" are to be commended the most.
You are invaluable to this team and the league! It tends to get so crazy prior to the
start of the meet and during relays -- thanks for your organization & calming
influence with the kids -- and, with me!
This Saturday, 6/19, we swim against Balcones at the Westover pool. The start time of this
meet will be: 8am. Warm-up time for 10&under Orcas will be at 6:50am. 11&over
Orcas will warm-up at 7:05am. PLEASE be at the pool early enough to be ready (check-in
with your age-group parent representative, get your events written on your arm, goggles
& smiles on, etc.) to line up and hop in the water at the coaches' call. (If you miss
your group time ... you miss warm-up.)
Swimmers, make sure you let me know what events you would like to swim in the Balcones
meet. I need your requests by Tuesday of this week. If I don't hear from you you may not
get entered. If you miss me on deck you may email me at: swimdoc@texas.net See you at the pool!
